Accommodations No hotel has been assigned as the Conference Hotel. However, hotel room pre-reservations have been made at different hotels with different price ranges centrally located in the town area. All pre-arranged hotels are very near to the central train and bus station and approximately 30 minutes away on foot from the conference venue. Conference participants will have to take care of the reservation themselves. Make your reservations early! Hotels in Kiel are often fully booked in the summer time. The Rucksack hostel (bekpek Kiel - # 62 on the map) is a cheap alternative for low budget travellers. Room prices are about 26 to 30 Euros per night. The hostel is about 3 km from the conference venue (about a 30 minute walk). Public transportation is also available. The YOUTH HOSTEL (# 65 on the map) is a another cheap alternative for low budget travellers: 16- 20 Euros including breakfast per night. Although it is called youth hostel it is open to all age groups.
