ACCOMMODATION

Note: charges for the registration fee are levied in U.S. dollars while those for accommodation are in Euro.

The Conference Secretariat has booked rooms with Hotels, University Residence Halls and Youth Hostels, with a range of prices from 60 € to 145 € per night. .

You will only be able to book accomodations AFTER you have registered for the meeting (a link from the accomodation page will be provided).

Hotels in Barcelona are very expensive. Therefore, if you are interested in the Youth Hostels or Residences that we have reserved for the conference, we strongly recommend that you make your booking (using the online form) as soon as possible.

HOTEL CATALONIA PRINCESA

Recently inaugurated, is housed in a magnificent building typical of the architecture of Barcelona’s gothic quarter. It is located near the Arco de Triunfo and the Ciutadella Park, a 20 minute walk from the conference venue. Rooms are equipped with the latest amenities and conveniences to provide the ultimate comfort: wooden floors and furniture, air conditioning, satellite TV, phone, minibar, safe, and a full marble bathroom with phone, hair dryer and infrared light. Breakfast is included in the rate.

Price: 123.00 Euro per night for a single occupancy room; 155.00 Euro per night for a double occupancy room (all rooms are air conditioned).

CAMPUS DEL MAR YOUTH HOSTEL

Was inaugurated in December 2002. There are also rooms available that have been designed for handicapped persons. All of the rooms include a fitted kitchen, complete bathroom, heating, air conditioning (not in all bedrooms), telephone and free Internet connection. This Hostel is located in the district of Barceloneta, just 5 minutes away from the beach and the Olympic Village, and very close (5-10 minute walk) to the conference venue. Breakfast is not included in the rate.

Price: 57.84 Euro per night for a single occupancy non-air conditioned room; 61.41 Euro per night for a single occupancy air conditioned room; 96.00 Euro per night for a double occupancy air conditioned room.

LA CIUTADELLA YOUTH HOSTEL

Was inaugurated in January 2001. There are also rooms available that have been designed for handicapped persons. All of the rooms include a fitted kitchen, complete bathroom, heating, air conditioning (not in all bedrooms),  telephone and free Internet connection. This Hostel is located in front of the Ciutadella Park, and very close (5-10 minute walk) to the conference venue. Breakfast is not included in the rate.

Price: 44.70 Euro per night for a single occupancy non-air conditioned room; 67.97 Euro per night for a double occupancy non-air conditioned room; 83.48 Euro per night for a double occupancy air conditioned room.

RESIDENCE ONIX

Was inaugurated in 2004. All of the rooms have individual complete bath, equipped kitchen, telephone, connection for Internet (DSL), independent air conditioning, heating and a wide large window. It is located in the emblematic Barcelona neighborhood of l'Eixample, opposite to the bus station of Barcelona Nord and next to the station of Renfe and Subway of Arco de Triunfo. Very central and with easy access to any part of the city due to its excellent location. It is a 20 minute walk from the conference venue. Breakfast is not included in the rate.

Price: 70.18 Euro per night for a single occupancy air conditioned room; 76.56 Euro per night for a double occupancy air conditioned room.
